Diaper Diary

Time Flies

5/24/2013

A year ago, my wife gave birth to a wonderful baby boy. Today, we celebrate it with utmost thanks and joy. Seven Cervantes Sandel is one year old.

Our pride, our happiness, our completeness, our gift from above, our inspiration. I thought Anie giving birth was the happiest moment in our lives. I was wrong. Each day with Seven is happier than the previous one. We're definitely a lot happier today than a year ago, now that we've managed to guide Seven through his first year, and I'd like to think we did a decent job.

A lot of sacrifices but nothing compares to the joys of parenthood. Especially with a cute and always-smiling kid. We love every bit of him.

To mark his first birthday, we did a family pictorial...

Obviously I'm in the photos so I had to have someone else photograph us. I have countless photographer-friends in Bulacan, many of them good in their craft. There's a few that I hold in high regard for their style and consistency. Jack Domingo is in that (very) short list. Good photos because magaling talaga, hindi tsamba lang. Great job, JD.

I'll end by thanking everyone.

Thank you to our good Lord for all his blessings. Thank you to my phenomenal wife. Thank you to our parents and families. Thank you to all our friends. Thank you to everyone who made us feel the love for Seven. We truly appreciate everything, and we won't forget.

As for these photos, credit goes to Jack and Al Domingo, Anchito Cruz and Don Victoria. Hair and makeup by Ronna Cervantes-Bombase, and The Camp for the lovely shoot location.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SEVEN!!!!!!!

To God be the glory.

    Pop Jeremy

Father to Seven. Prefers to be called "Pop" because Daddy is too sosyal, Papa can mean boyfriend / boy-toy or a ketchup, Tatay is too un-sosyal, and Popsie is just three letters too much. I don't like the cola because it's too sweet, but I esteem coach Gregg Popovich because he gets the job done. So Pop it is.
