The Bulacan State University - College of Home Economics staged a Tourism Photo Exhibit. I was invited to be one of the judges for the contest that coincided with the exhibit, participated in by over 200 first-year Hotel and Restaurant Management students. I was happy to accept, more so because I could give my input about photography.
The judging took two days to complete, and I brought my Fuji X100 with me on the second day (last February 16). Some snaps :
The winners would be presented in a bigger event at the Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center. It took place yesterday, March 1. As judges we were also asked to be there. But Ma'am Corren Cortez, lead organizer of the event, had one final request of me : that I give a talk on "how photography could enhance the tourism industry". I don't remember how she made me say yes, but I did. It was a topic I was interested in, anyway. =)
So off I went to the program proper. A good friend from BULLET, the ever-game Eugene Figueroa (who just came from an appointment with his chiropractor), offered to document the proceedings for me. Using my Canon camera. And he loved the Canon. I swear he did.
So here are Eugene's captures, just cropped by yours truly.
It was my pleasure and an honor to be part of the event. I'd like to thank the BSU-CHE people for being wonderful and ever-smiling. Thanks for the pampering. And CONGRATULATIONS for the job well done. More power to all of you. Cheers! =)
Rush of Blood to the Head
We all have something to say. If I get the rush and find a keyboard, I blog mine. Anything and everything under the sun. And stars.
