I was back in Bulacan State University to witness another edition of their Cheerdance Competition. Still high about the UAAP CDC (an event I watch live every year) last weekend, and still smarting about my beloved UP Pep Squad losing its crown to a very-deserving NU crew, BSU's own CDC event was smack on in its timeliness.
I have to admit, I loved shooting it last year, so I did another round. If only the crowd control personnel were more friendly, I would have appreciated the experience more. This year was no exception, as I was again asked if I had any accreditation ID, otherwise I can't be inside the activity center. I just don't get it that they're that strict about having IDs when obviously there are a ton of other people brandishing their cameras in front of the stage WITHOUT IDs. A little politeness would have gone a long way...or just straight-up fairness. If they don't want visitors or photographers shooting their event, then just say so.
Anyway, here are my photos. And yes, I didn't have any ID or pass. I guess because I DON'T NEED ONE to get the shots or results that I want.
And the winners are...
3rd Place, last year's champs, the CHE Tigers
2nd Place, hands-down having the best uniforms, the CICT Firefox
And the 2013 champions...
The CAL Green Cobras!
And because they're the champs, they get extra exposure to show their emotions. =)
Congratulations to the winners and all the teams! It was a superb show. Had a lot of fun. ID or no ID.
(P.S. I won't mind other people sharing or using the photos, but my watermark is there for a reason.)
